Anti War

The government wants us to believe in them to do the right thing for our country, and to them, they see war as an okay option. This makes it hard to find actual anti-war movements that have an effect on the government's opinion. This is also seen because of a rise in the economy when we declare official war. This can be seen in both world wars pulling us out of economic tragedy and allowing our country to be the most powerful. Propaganda is used in this way to get the country to back the military by diverting the production of certain supplies to create military weaponry. Nowadays not many wars have been started but since the event of 9/11, we have sent millions of troops overseas creating a war that the government claims to be necessary. The war on terrorism started after the tragic event of 9/11 and was used to push all the emotions of the country in the middle east for being home to the terrorist group Al Qaeda. But use being in this war has caused millions of innocent people in the middle east to die because of actions that we have to take to try and stop them from creating more chaos in the world. I believe that the attack on 9/11 was used to create a kind of protection of the war, meaning that if you go against it or don't support the government you don't care about the reason we started it in the first place. Making it hard for people to speak out against the war causing it to continue for 20 years.
